The successful candidate must be able to work flexible shift patterns enabling the nursery to offer care from 8am to 6pm.   Responsibilities To have overall responsibility for the management of the Nursery and to : Be responsible for a team of Childcare Practitioners and to be proactive in team building, staff motivation and developing the staff to their maximum potential. To ensure standards outlined in the Early Years Foundation Stage are met and sustained. To ensure compliance of Health, Safety and Welfare standards within the Nursery in conjunction with the H & S Rep. To ensure high quality provision is delivered in all areas, such as catering, cleaning and general maintenance. To promote and market the Nursery and liaise with the Room Managers and Deputy Manager to ensure maximum occupancy levels. To ensure that satisfactory standards of discipline and behaviour are maintained and deal with any problems accordingly. To ensure that each child is fully equipped to move to the next stage of their care and education.   Experience We are looking for a highly committed, organised, enthusiastic and self motivated person who is dedicated to providing high quality childcare to children. You must be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team. Excellent working knowledge of the Early Years foundation stage is essential. Must have a minimum of Level 3 Qualification in childcare / education / learning in the early years.
