We are looking for inspirational, qualified nursery practitioners for a variety of full and part-time positions who have a wealth of experience of working with 0-4 year olds. You will be room based, working in a team of at least 5 staff. This is a great opportunity to join the Oaks or Elms Day Nursery which is part of the University of Birmingham, based at either their Edgbaston or Selly Oak campus.
To be considered for this position you will need to have achieved a relevant Early Years Level 3 qualification and have a minimum grade C in GCSE English and Maths. Successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
Work well within a team of at least 5 staff, communicating daily using a variety of means to ensure that the service provided is consistent
Work as a key person and provide high standards of quality learning
Observe and plan for children following EYFS curriculum
Build relationships with children and their families
Maintain health & safety of children and follow safeguarding procedures
NNEB or a full and relevant early education and childcare qualification (e.g. NVQ/Diploma/BTEC) level 3 or higher
Experience with 2-3’s in a nursery/early years setting at a practitioner level
Good knowledge of the EYFS, birth to 3, safeguarding and health and safety both in policy and practice
Adaptable and flexible to meet the daily demands of the business
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Liaise with and develop good relationships with parents
Above average salary paying £16,152 progressing to £17,342
