The ideal candidate would be qualified to at least a level 2 in childcare and have experience working with children, however we would be willing to interview those without a current qualification but are happy to train in their own time to a minimum level 2 qualification.
As an early years practitioner you will work as part of a team to deliver the EYFS. You will help provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment for 2-3 year olds. You will be a key person for 5-10 children, which will involve building a positive relationship with the child and their family, you will be responsible for creating a learning journey book with observations and evaluations in, which will in turn inform your panning of activities on a fortnightly basis. This is a pack away setting so you will be required to set up the hall and pack away at the end of each day. You will be expected to attend additional courses, possibly in your own time to keep up to date with practice and your own professional development. These courses will include the mandatory safeguarding children and first aid. The position is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8.30 am - 4 pm. You may required to provide cover on a Wednesday but this is in addition to your normal working hours.
