Our Clients nursery is a family run business with 17 years' experience managing their own Day Nurseries. The Nursery is situated in a quiet residential area and is a purpose designed setting, catering for children from 3 months to 5 years old.
Responsible for the supervision of the children in your area, carrying out activities, ensuring that the children receive a high standard of care, in a stimulating and happy environment, appropriate to their development level.
To ensure the health and safety of the children and reporting any potential hazards to your room leader.
To lead play activities ensuring they are undertaken to a high standard.
To assist in the administration of the record keeping system and relevant registers.
To ensure observations are carried out and recorded accurately and on a regular basis working with your room leader.
To participate in training sessions as required.
To provide individual play plans and termly progress reports complete diaries etc. as appropriate to your area under the guidance of your room leader.
To set up your area to ensure a stimulating environment is provided.
To take responsibility for displaying the children's work effectively.
To ensure a methodical approach is taken to the use of all the resources available.
To draw up relevant plans, implement, review and evaluate them on a regular basis.
Liaise with your room leader to ensure He/she has all the relevant information to pass on to parents at the end of their child's day.
Accurately recording accidents and incidents involving the children in your care.
Working with your room leader on all issues involving the children such as weaning, potty training and all such areas of development.
Working with your room leader to plan and ensure a sensitive and timely approach to children moving on to the next group.

First aid for child carer's certificate.
Food hygiene certificate.
We are looking for full time and permanent, all year round, Level 2 and 3 staff for our outstanding children's day nursery in Southampton. Pay range between £15,000 and £16,000.
